Process method of glass product processing
2021-09-30

With the continuous improvement of production level, people's standards for glass material have also improved. In order to enhance the practicability and artistry of glass in the processing of glass products, manufacturers have introduced many new glass products with excellent quality and beautiful appearance. For example, the dimming glass that can control the transparency with on and off is more atmospheric and practical than the traditional frosted glass. The manufacturing process of such an excellent product is also quite complicated and rigorous. The production process of glass includes the following items:

1. For ingredients, according to the designed bill of materials, all kinds of raw materials are weighed and mixed evenly in a mixer. The main raw materials of glass are: quartz sand, limestone, feldspar, soda ash, boric acid, etc.

2. Melting, heating the prepared raw materials at high temperature to form a uniform glass liquid without bubbles. This is a very complex physical and chemical reaction process. The melting of glass is carried out in a melting furnace. The melting furnace mainly has 2 Types: One is the crucible kiln. The frit is placed in the crucible and heated outside the crucible. The small crucible kiln only holds one crucible, and the large one can have as many as 20 crucibles. The crucible kiln is intermittently produced, and now only Optical glass and color glass are produced by crucible kiln. The other is pool kiln. The frit is melted in the kiln, and the open flame is heated above the glass surface. The melting temperature of glass is mostly 13001600゜C, and most of them are heated by flame. There are also a small amount of electric current heating, called electric melting furnace.

3. Forming is to transform the molten glass into a solid product with a fixed shape. Forming must be carried out within a certain temperature range. This is a cooling process. The glass is first transformed from a viscous liquid state to a plastic state, and then into a plastic state. Brittle solid state. This is not the same as the manufacturing method of indoor glass crystal wall. The glass forming method can be divided into two categories: artificial forming and mechanical forming.

There are generally two types of artificial forming, one is blowing, using a nickel-chromium alloy blowpipe, pick a group of glass and blow it in the mold while turning. It is mainly used to form glass bubbles, bottles, balls (for eyeglasses), etc.

(2) Drawing, after blowing into small bubbles, another worker sticks it with the top plate, and two people blow and pull it mainly to make glass tubes or rods.

(3) Press, pick a ball of glass, cut it with scissors to make it fall into the die, and then press it with a punch. It is mainly used to form cups, plates, etc.

(4) Freely form, after picking the material, use pliers, scissors, tweezers and other tools to directly make handicrafts.

The second is mechanical forming, because artificial forming is labor-intensive, high temperature and poor conditions. Therefore, in addition to free forming, most of them have been replaced by mechanical forming. In addition to pressing, blowing, and drawing, mechanical forming also has (1 ) calendering method (2) casting method (3) centrifugal casting method (4) sintering method. All in all, most of the current glass processing methods are these methods, which are very different from the processing methods of crystal handicrafts.
